DENVER – Utah Tech's Quali Conley, Abilene Christian’s Tyrin Bradley and Tarleton's Adrian Guzman have been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Football Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, for the game week ending on Saturday, Sept. 10.
Conley, a sophomore running back, registered a career day for Utah Tech during a 56-10 win against Chadron State on Sept. 10. Conley turned in his first collegiate 100-yard rushing performance, gaining 139 yards on just 21 carries to go along with touchdowns from 10 yards, 1 yard and 1 yard out. Conley is one of just two ballcarriers in the WAC with a 100-yard rushing effort thus far this season and ranks second in the conference averaging 5.5 yards per rush.
Bradley, a sophomore defensive lineman, was a major contributor to the Abilene Christian defense in a 21-13 comeback victory against Prairie View A&M on Sept. 10. Bradley led all players with 10 tackles, which included 2.0 tackles for loss and a quarterback hurry, for the Wildcats in the win.
Guzman, a sophomore kicker, hit all three of his kicks from placement for Tarleton in a nonconference showdown at TCU on Sept. 10. Guzman connected on a career-long 47-yard field goal and deposited both extra points he attempted on the day for the Texans. Guzman leads the WAC with four made field goals and is fifth in the conference with 16 points.
